The newly established Department of Informatics and Media (IM) is a merger of three closely related subject areas: Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and Media and Communication Studies.
We study, teach, and generate knowledge about modes of communicating and disseminating information, both for today and for tomorrow. We are interested in the interplay between the individual, technology, media, organisations, and the public sector.
Our research and education are characterized by both breadth and depth. This provides a level of competence that is on the cutting edge when it comes to meeting the needs of business, the research community, and the wider society.
